4. START CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY ONCE PER MONTH. From time to time, it is good to set aside a particular day in a month to intentionally focus on your customers and appreciate them. This is a very powerful idea that will pay off big for you almost immediately.

5. DON’T WASTE YOUR CUSTOMERS TIME! Some farming operations are guilty of this. I once consulted for a very big farming business that had this problem. Unfortunately the management refused to change and they kept losing good customers. If you don’t respect your customers time, it means you don’t have respect for their lives and business. Many customers cannot cope with this negativity.

6. WATCH YOUR ATTITUDE! Attitude, they say is everything. You must train every member of your farming operations to always exhibit positive attitudes towards your customers no matter what. Good attitudes will always attract more and more customers. Never forget this!

7. DON’T FORGET YOUR INTERNAL CUSTOMERS TOO. Oh yes, you also have internal customers. They are your workers. As a matter of fact, your workers are your first customers. Everyone in the farming organisation should be trained to be courteous and friendly with one another. A great working team will always achieve great things for your farming business
