There is no point in doing business if you will not be financially successful in it. Farming as a business should lead to profit unless you are doing it as a hobby. Although things could be tough, some people with certain traits are much more likely to make a huge success in farming business.
Below are 9 traits of financially successful farmers.
- STRONG WORK ETHIC. I am yet to see a financially successful farmer that does not have a strong work ethic. The ones who do farming with a lackadaisical attitude rarely make it. My mentor once told me that it will take a serious approach to have a glorious future.
- RESILIENCE. If you are not able to bounce back after repeated failure, you cannot be financially successful in farming or any business for that matter. The ability to never say die and to adapt in difficult situations and keep pressing forward is critical.

- PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY. Wasteful living and nonchalant attitude because you are the owner of the farming business is the bane of most failing farmers. You should have a sense of personal accountability if you really want to go far in farming business or any business for that matter.
