We came up with this decision based on the calculation of what it takes to raise 1200 pieces of fish. It amounts to almost N710,000 and this is without salary, treatments, water, transportation, pond renting and other things. We can only sell at N1200 to meet up and to restock.”

We are making efforts to reach the officials of the Catfish Farmers Association to confirm this development.

  1. I consent to this development, the fish buyers are cheating us with the ridiculous price they buy from we farmers , after passing through a lot of stress to raise fish for months, we make little or no profit.

  2. Wow it’s seriously good if the price can implement because some of farmer likely to sell fish cheap but I dont know why we can’t have a single mouth to clear all dose farmer like that. Seriously I’m glad to see this because I’m always review the calculation of feed, maintenance and salary .ok to hear

  3. This will really help alot if we can unanimously agree on pushing this price on every farmer’s table across the country from west south north and eastern part of the country ,together we can achieve this

  4. It is a step in the right direction If we can Cooperate among ourselves we shall succeed and remain in the business Up CAFFAN
