More Updates on the Outbreak of Avian Influenza (Bird Flu) at Aiyedoto Farm Settlement
There have been a confirmed outbreak of avian influenza disease (Bird Flu) in two farms at Aiyedoto farm settlement at Ojo Lagos state.
According to the information received from Lagos State Agricultural Development Authority (LASADA) Oko-oba, Agege.

It reads; please, inform our farmers through channels of communications to activate and step up biosecurity protocols on their farms immediately, which should include
. Avoid sharing of staff and equipment
. Use of foot dips with disinfectant
. Regular decontamination of farm environment
. Reduce human and vehicular movement in and around the farm
. Report incidence of unusual mortality to the area vet officers.

To further understand the extent of the outbreak and the current situation of things there, our correspondence spoke to Mr Oyedeji kolawole, the CEO of Satin Farms at Aiyedoto farm settlement.
Mr Oyedeji confirmed the outbreak of avian influenza at one section of the farm settlement and that they are already working to contain the spread. He said situation is calm and that all the necessary protocols have been put in place to contain the spread.
