Our client, a reputable farm in Ogun State, is in need of a suitable candidate to fill the position below

Farm Accountant

Location: Isoyin, Ijebu Ode, Ogun state ( Farm will provide accommodation for him on the farm).

Job schedule: Monday to Saturdays 8am to 5pm.

Monthly pay: 70k-90k depending on experience.

Pension: Yes.

PAYE: Yes.

Qualification: AAT is a must, Bsc,ND,HND in accounting.

Minimum of 2yrs experience (past experience in an Agro environment is an added advantage).

*Job description

1. Daily data collection and posting

2. Preparation and presentation of monthly payroll.

3. Preparation of management account.

4. Investigate discrepancies that may arise during data collection

5. Management of petty cash book.

6. Assist in carrying out monthly internal audit assignment.

7. Participate in the preparation of annual budget.

8. Perform any other administrative function that may arise while discharging accounting function.

Key performance indicators

1. Collection and filing of vendor invoices

2. Custodian of material requisition note sent by the feedmill to the poultry department (copy) and attache invoice sent by the feedmill upon delivery of finished feed.

3. Post daily record on the farm accounting software(Fambook pro).

4. Preparation of sales receipt.

5. Design excel template where necessary for data capturing.

6. Perform on the spot check of egg inventory..

7. Any other necessary function.

*Personal attribute

1. Proficient in the use of excel.

2. Well skilled in cost accounting.

3. Proactive.

4. Familiar with accounting softwares.
