1. AGRONOMIST Epe, Lagos
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Learn MoreEstablish and manage all vegetables and fruits agribusiness matters including seedling nursery, transplanting, irrigation, fertilization, pest / disease detection and prevention, weed management, irrigation programming, and other related activities.
Train farm workers on all Vegetable & Fruit crops including seedling nursery, transplanting, irrigation, fertigation, pest / disease detection and prevention, and irrigation programming.
Deliver agreed revenue, crop yield, cash-flow and profit targets as set out in the business schedule from time to time.
Continuous study of plants and soil, and develop better cultivation; planting, maintenance and harvesting techniques.
Keep detailed records regarding fields, customers, crops, and samples.
Generating periodic reports and presentations to management.
Resourcing and management of farm hands.
Supplier & vendor management
Any other assigned duties or responsibilities related to the farm’s operation.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Extensive knowledge of all facets of medium to large scale irrigated and mechanized commercial vegetables and fruits agribusiness, including but not limited to:
Bush clearing
Land preparation
Seedling production
Irrigated vegetable crop production
Rained vegetable crop and pasture production
Operations Management
Marketing & Sales
Project Management
Farm Record Keeping
Knowledge of Organic Farming
OTHER DESIRABLE SKILLS
Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
Good Time management skills.
Good Interpersonal relationship skills.
Good communicator.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1st degree or its equivalent in agronomy, agricultural science or any other directly related field.
Minimum 3 years experience as a Field Agronomist.
Proficiency with computers, awareness of industry trends, technology and developments, exceptional active listening and verbal and written communication skills are important.
Must be willing to reside on the farm
Package: Onsite accommodation, incentives & commission on targets met, attractive salary.
2. FARM MANAGER Auchi, Edo State
Must be a graduate of AGRICULTURE with good experience in managing both Broiler and Layer birds
must have a good technical knowledge
must be honest, hardworking with good work ethics
Must be ready to work in line with the goal and objectives of the farm
Must be ready to stay on the farm
must be able to work with minimum supervision
