You can take advantage of this season of the year to buy in large quantity, stockpile it in your barn.
When you visit the hinterland and villages a lot of our rural farmers have these hay in abundance after harvest, without proper storage of the feed, most times they allow it to waste.
You can take advantage of this situation to visits such villages to either gather the hay with their permission or buy it at a low price.
You can interact and make friends with some of the villagers that are involve in cattle rearing, to lease you some land. That was actually what we did, we planted some crop for the sole purpose of obtaining quality hay for our cows.
