About the Role:

• Responsible for managing Commercial Broiler with 60,000 – 100,000 capacity to cropping stage in 38days and not less than 8 pen houses.

• Placement of over 40,000 day old chicks weekly.

What we are looking for;

• Candidate must possess a DVM in Veterinary Medicine.

• Must have experience in commercial broiler breeding and poultry workmanship

• Candidate must possess proven leadership skills

• Candidate must be an effective communicator, passionate and committed

• Must be detail oriented and well organized with a great ability to multitask

• Knowledge with the regulatory bodies regarding poultry farming and value addition

• Candidate should be proficient in computer knowledge generally

• Knowledge of environmental and biosecurity management

2. SENIOR AGRONOMIST 

LOCATION: OGUN AND OYO STATE 

The goal of the role:

As a Senior Agronomist in our greenhouse and open field operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the cultivation of crops within the greenhouse and open field. You will utilize your expertise in plant science, soil management, and crop cultivation techniques to ensure maximum yield, quality and sustainability.

About the Role:

Crop Management: Manage all aspects of crop production in both greenhouse and open field, including planting, fertilization, irrigation, pest and disease management and harvesting.

Soil Nutrient Management: Monitor soil health and nutrient levels in both green house and open field settings to optimize plant growth and productivity.

Integrated Pest Management (IPM): Implement IPM strategies in both greenhouse and open field operations to control pests and diseases, utilizing biological, cultural and chemical control methods in a sustainable manner.

Environmental and Climate Monitoring: Monitor environmental conditions in both greenhouse and open field, including temperature, and soil moisture levels and adjust management practices accordingly to create optimal growing conditions for crops.

Team Leadership and Training: Provide leadership and guidance to greenhouse and field staff, including training on best practices, safety protocols and equipment operation.

Quality Control and Compliance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that crops from both green house and open field meet industry standards for freshness, appearance and taste.

What we are looking for;

Minimum of HND or Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Science or a related field is preferred (a Master’s degree is a plus)

Minimum of 5 years’ and above of managerial experience in greenhouse and open field operations with a focus on crop production and management.

Strong knowledge of plant physiology, soil science and agronomic practices.

Proficiency in integrated pest management (IPM), fertigation as well as organic farming practices.

Proficient in Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint and ability to write analytical reports, create presentations and prepare statistical reports.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be a graduate of Fishery or Aquaculture

Must posess minimum 3 years hands on experience working in a Fish Farm

Must be able to effectively supervise workers to get the best results

Must possess a Growth Mindset

Must have practical experience in fish management to get maximum yield

Must be honest and hardworking

4. RUMINANTS FARM MANAGER

Strong criteria for a commercial ruminants farm manager

1. **Experience:** Possess significant experience in managing commercial ruminants farms, demonstrating expertise in the care and management of animals such as cattle, sheep, or goats.

2. **Technical Knowledge:** Have in-depth knowledge of ruminant husbandry, including breeding, nutrition, health management, and pasture management, ensuring optimal animal welfare and production.

3. **Management Skills:** Exhibit strong leadership and organizational abilities to efficiently oversee a team, coordinate tasks, and manage day-to-day operations on the ruminants farm.

4. **Financial Acumen:** Understand budgeting, cost analysis, and financial management to ensure the farm operates profitably and within financial constraints.

5. **Problem-Solving Abilities:** Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills to address challenges such as disease outbreaks, pasture management, or market fluctuations promptly.

6. **Regulatory Compliance:** Stay updated on and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing ruminant farming, including environmental and animal welfare standards.

7. **Record Keeping:** Maintain meticulous records related to herd performance, production metrics, and financial transactions to facilitate informed decision-making and regulatory compliance.

8. **Communication Skills:** Possess strong communication skills to interact with suppliers, customers, and internal staff, fostering positive relationships and conveying information effectively.

9. **Innovative Thinking:** Display a willingness to adopt new technologies and innovative practices that can enhance efficiency, productivity, and sustainability on the ruminants farm.

BACKING QUALIFICATIONS

1. B.AGRIC or DVM

2. AT LEAST 5 years post graduation

experience in a commercial ruminants farm

with at least 200 cows at any point

5. FARM SUPERVISOR AGRONOMIST

LOCATION: IJEBU 

REQUIREMENTS

Must be a graduate of crop production or has good experience in crop production

Must posess minimum 2 years hands on experience working with Greenhouse and open field.
